Remember this, repeat it every single day:

At the end of the day, if someone wants to be in your life, they will be. Truly — they are capable, they will make the effort, they will show up. If they do not — let that be your closure.

However, you do not have to hate them. You do not have to remember their contribution to your life as anything but beautiful. Do not ruin them in your mind, do not grip until you feel resentment. Instead, love them without attachment. Love the lessons they taught you. Wish them well every single time you think about them. Miss them, but do not ache for them to come back. If the people in your life left because they were not ready to value you, or love you, or be there for you, do not wish for them back, do not ask for them to be more than they can be at the moment. Wish for them to figure themselves out. Wish for them to grow. They are on their own journey — a journey you are not a part of. And that is okay. You have to learn that that is okay.

So instead of focusing on the people who left, focus on the people in your life who have chosen to be there. Focus on the ones who stayed, on the ones who appreciate you and respect you. Focus on the people who match the love you give them, focus on the people who empower you and grow you and make your life beautiful. You are surrounded by human beings who will not shy away from the love you give. You are surrounded by human beings who know that they want you in their life, people who show you that every single day. Do not take them for granted. Do not lose touch of what you have, chasing what you no longer do.

Trust me when I say — you will miss out on beautiful things if you continue to stay rooted in all of the ways you were wronged, if you continue to let your past pull you from experiencing what the present has to offer you. Do not close yourself off to your potential. Instead, open yourself to the world, and allow for it to fill that space with the kinds of people, the kinds of moments, and the kinds of experiences that exhilarate you, that compel you — that make you love yourself, and your life, and what you have to offer, more and more each day.

Review (acak-acakan): The Dark Knight Rises

okeh, jujur aja ini kali pertamanya bagi gue dalam review sebuah film. Dan kenapa gue merasa perlu untuk me-review film ini, karena gue udah nonton film ini sebanyak dua kali (oke, gak ada hubungannya memang). Lanjut...

The Dark Knight Rises, sejak pemutaran perdana film ini (IINM, 20 Juli 2012) banyak banget yang ngomongin ini film diberbagai media sosial, jujur aja gue bukan pencinta film-film Batman terdahulunya secara gila-gilaan. Pernah nonton Batman Bagins, itupun di tpi *yailah bahasa lo nu... TIPI!* Maka gue memutuskan untuk menonton film ini, just wanna know about the hype.

Sejak awal pemutaran film, jujur aja kurang ngerti tentang ceritanya. Tapi jujur aja, walau gak ngerti, gue cukup dibuat deg-degan gak karuan oleh adegan pembajakan pesawat oleh Bane. Mungkin lebih deg-degan nonton bagian film ini dibanding naik roller coaster 100 kali. Oke lebay, skip.

Scene berikutnya langsung menuju ke Gotham dimana akan dibacakan pidato tentang pengungkapan siapa sebenarnya pembunuh Harvey Dent yang selama ini menjadi perbincangan (apa iya? kayaknya sih). Disitu muncullah sosok Anne Hatheway yang SUNGGUH BUKAN MAIN menyita perhatian para lelaki, gue rasa. Doski berperan sebagai Catwoman yang menyamar menjadi pelayan pada acara itu, yang sebenarnya dimanfaatkan oleh doi untuk mengambil kalung milik Ibu dari Bruce Wayne dan sidik jari Bruce Wayne untuk dijual kepada Dagget. Unfotunately, transaksi tersebut sih sepertinya gagal karena Dagget enggan untuk memberikan bayaran. Scene setelah ini termasuk scene favorit saya *teruskenapa*

Miranda Tate, yang semula gue fikir adalah termasuk orang yang berada di pihak Batman, ternyata dia adalah orang yang paling antagonis dalam film ini. Berpura-pura membeli perusahaan Wayne, termasuk dengan --apa ya namanya gue lupa-- yang pada akhirnya menjadi bom waktu bagi Gotham.

Gordon berupaya memasang kembali reaktor --atau apa ya, duh lupa deh beneran tentang yang satu ini-- supaya tidak meledak, tetapi Miranda Tate yang telah diberi tahu oleh Fox tentang alat tersebut, mengaktifkan kembali.

Akhir cerita, Batmanlah yang membawa terbang bom waktu tersebut ke teluk sehingga terjadi ledakan yang jauh dari kota, mengorbankan dirinya demi menyelamatkan Gotham.

NAH! Bagian yang gue suka dari film ini adalah....

PERTAMA, Anne Hatheway. Cantiks. Udah segitu aja komentar tentang beliau. Wahihi. KEDUA, Ini adalah akhir dari trilogi yang paling keren yang pernah gue tonton. Sound yang keren banget (menurut gue). Dan cerita yang gak bisa ditebak. Film fiksi yang gak kelihatan bohongannya *apasih*

Oh iya, gue cukup terkejut dengan kehadiran Joseph Gordon-Levitt, btw :)) (who doesn't?)

DAN bagian yang gak gue suka dari film ini adalah....

Filmnya terlalu lama bok. Ngantuk aja gue pas nonton ini film. Hampir ketiduran tapi akhirnya gak sih *yaterus?* Dan gue gak suka suara Bane dan suara Bruce Wayne ketika berperan sebagai Batman, serak-serak ganggu, cin! Terus, kenapa sih Ane Hatheway nyosor duluan kalo ciuman sama Bruce? (Gak perlu djawab juga sih)

Gitu aja sih review gue tentang film ini, nantikan di review-review berikutnya ya. Haha!

Gue mau nonton film ini untuk yang ketiga kalinya, tapi nunggu ada yang bayarin deh.
